2017: "The Bluefield Group" was founded by Michael Smith in Greenville, SC in 2017 as a real estate team under the umbrella of a big-box franchise brokerage. The goal was to build a team of top-notch real estate professionals and provide them with the training, support, and resources to successfully serve our clients with excellence. We helped 76 families buy or sell $13 Million worth of real estate.
2018: Our first full year in business, we began piecing together the organization by building our Marketing, Inside Sales, and Operations departments. We helped 118 families buy or sell $23 Million worth of real estate.
2019: We officially split from the franchise to become "Bluefield Realty Group," an independent brokerage. We launched our Property Management division, which was the first step toward our goal of building a "one-stop shop," offering ancillary services to better serve our clients' needs. We helped 191 families buy or sell $38 Million worth of real estate.
2020: Despite the socioeconomic chaos of the Coronavirus pandemic, we experienced year-over-year growth of over 150%. We launched "Bluefield Insurance Group," an independent insurance agency with access to numerous carriers with the goal of helping our clients find the right policy, at the right price, with the least amount of headache. We helped 453 families buy or sell $96 Million worth of real estate.
2021: Bluefield made the Inc. 5000 list, which ranks the fasted-growing privately-held companies in the United States. We ranked as the #1 real estate company in South Carolina, #8 in South Carolina across all industries, and #667 in the Country. We helped 1,078 families buy or sell $277 Million worth of real estate.
2022: Bluefield made the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row, ranked as the #1 fastest-growing privately-help real estate company in South Carolina, #5 in South Carolina across all industries, and #580 in the Country. We also opened our first satellite office, located in Spartanburg, SC and began hiring agents in the Columbia area to expand our reach into the Midlands.
